Named after a tree that comes back every year
Hi, I'm Mae. A few years ago I stood in front of my wardrobe and realized nothing in it felt like me anymore. The shops were full of clothes cut for my daughter, and the "classic" rail was shapeless and dull. I didn't want to dress younger. I just wanted to feel like myself again, and a little more put together.
So I started Linden & Mae. I named it after the linden tree: it gives shade in summer, turns gold in autumn and comes back every spring. That's what I want our clothes to be for you. Pieces you reach for again and again, season after season.
Every style is chosen for women who know what they like and have no patience for things that pinch, cling or lose their shape after one wash.
Comfortable, and still put together
I have one simple rule: if I wouldn't wear it from my morning coffee to dinner with friends, it doesn't go in the shop. Soft fabrics, a little room where you want it, and colours that go with everything already in your wardrobe. You should never have to choose between feeling comfortable and looking lovely.

How I choose every piece
I ask the questions that really matter when you get dressed. Is it soft enough to wear all day? Does it skim instead of cling? Will it keep me warm on a cold Canadian morning? Can I layer it and wear it with what I already own? And will it still look this good next autumn, and the one after that?
If the answer is no, it doesn't make it into the shop. If it's yes, it goes on the rail, with honest notes on the fit so you can order with confidence.
